Great new cafe that has only been open for 3 months now. Has the industrial vibe feel with exposed brick walls and open plan kitchen.
Have tried their chicken panini and that was great, toasted with rocket, semi dried tomato and Swiss cheese! Who knew all the flavours would sync. They have a large brick wood fired oven for their delicious pizzas! Dough is freshly made on site! Very authentic. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors, however, its winter and its probably freezing outside! Coffee is good, Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of different specials everyday in their bain marie stand so definitely one to check out if you are in the area. Last week they had Rolled Pork Porchetta with roasted veggies......nom nom nom Delish! Address details can be found here: weebly

Cool little Cafe located on the main strip in Mudgee. - Family friendly - Serve organic juices - They use Toby's Estate coffee - Open Monday - Sat 7am to 5pm & - Sunday 7.30pm - 4pm - Outdoor and Indoor seating - Has a play area for the kids and a sign on the door that welcomes breast feeding mothers. Went in on a Sunday about 9am and there were a lot of empty tables so we sat near the back wall where they have a board of arts and crafts with various different types of puppets on the wall (these are available for purchase if you feel inclined). We got the big breakfast and the poached eggs with bacon and avocado. Coffee was good and so was the food, Also got a freshly squeezed juice for the day which was celery, pineapple and orange - very refreshing way to start the day. By the time we left the place was packed! Overall a good first time experience. Address details can be found here: /mudgee.html I follow them on Instagram so when they mentioned they open on Sundays now from 8am, I had to investigate ;D. Brunch you say?! Located opposite the train station on Wentworth St. You will not see a sign but you can spot the outdoor seating and the colourful graffiti art wall! Upon arrival there were a few seats inside so my sister and i opted to go in. For starters i got a cappuccino and my sister got the African tea (came out with ice) she noted it was a bit sweet but we just added water and it was fine. Everything on the menu sounded good but I ordered the Barossa Valley cured Schultz bacon, fried free-range eggs, house made tomato and red capsicum relish with aioli on schiacciata bread (the picture is pretty plain). My sister had the Crispy skin pork belly on house made baked beans with poached eggs, cavolo nero and a seeded baguette! WOW. Both meals were divine! Yum will definitely have to come back and try the baked eggs as noted by the waitress as one of their top dishes! Great first time experience! Will have to go again another Sunday ~ That way its a bit quiet, I can only imagine what the weekdays would be like. They also have Tea and Coffee Tasting menu - sounds exotic! Address details can be found here weebly Heard about this place a lot on Instagram so as usual it was a must visit but of course with life commitments you tend to call in on it months are your initial thought of visiting! We got there 10 minutes to 8am on Saturday (because that's when they open) so of course the place was empty except for the staff which was great coz we got to choose a prime position to sit! I did not realise that the Kitchen was part of the Koskela warehouse where the owners Russel Koskela and Sasha Titchkosky produce "Australian furniture that is beautiful, functional and durable" (taken from their website) .... will you look at that you learn something new everyday! We ordered the Sourdough pancakes with Lemon Curd $14, Big Breakfast $20 and Eggs benedict/royale $13. Everything was back to basics, you order at the counter then take a number and a seat and they bring it out to you. In addition, to the usual breakfast menu they also have pastries/cakes on offer if you are not quite hungry. The cutlery was in an old tomato tin tub which added the rustic look, food was served in tin plates like the kind you take camping. Food was sensational! My eggs benedict came on a bun and all the sauce and the egg oozed out goodness! I scraped the plate...literally! Pancakes were divine. After we had finished breakfast we waiting around till 9am as that was the time Koskela opened so we could peruse the designs. Families and groups are welcome here, Great way to start the weekend! Address details can be found here: weebly Took a friend for the first time to High Tea and she loved it! I figured the best place to start would be to trial The Tea Room at the Queen Victoria Building in the city. We were booked in for 11am for a 1.5 hour seating, although i highly doubt we would use that whole time! I cant remember the names of most of the items but made sure to take a lot of pictures so you can feast your eyes on the deliciousness that is High Tea :) . The wait staff was impeccable and pleasant. We were done and dusted within the hour and desperately needed to walk off the many treats we just consumed. Overall I love High Tea and always have a wonderful time sipping tea and eating the mini treats, I mean if you didn't then this is something that you must get yourself into! With the year coming to an end i think you all deserve to spoil yourself ;). Address and contact details can be found here: weebly Last day of November and it was the day we finally got to meet Kevin Bacon, Bradley and all the other animals that are residents at the The Grounds. Weather was overcast and sprinkling to start but that did not deter us. Arrived about 8.40 am and parking was scarce but eventually found a spot. Since having a foot injury i rarely like to walk far even though i should be grateful! Anywho the place was packed when we got there, so we had to get a buzzer and wait 30 minutes, which was ample time for my niece to visit Kevin bacon and his friends. It's quite a large area with different carts placed all over the grounds. There's the lemonade stand, the fresh fruit cart, pastry cart and a kids play area. By the time out buzzer beeped we were both starving! To start i got the Super green juice which no amount of convincing would make my niece try it! We got the breakfast platter to share which consisted of 2 poached eggs, 2 x toast, smoked ham, diced tomatoes, feta with pesto and avocado. Clean eating to the max! Finished off with hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Overall it was well worth the wait, sadly i did not get to visit Salt meets Cheese. Alas gives me an excuse to visit again soon! Here's to breaking Sydney's cafes, restaurants and places to interest one weekend at a time! Address can be found here: weebly This stuff is the breakfast of Champions. Alongside oats :P I generally run out of fresh strawberries, so recently bought some frozen ones so i can have them on hand when i feel like something pink! It was delectable! Definitely makes you remember that summer is just round the corner where there will be hot summer days and warm nights. Lately I have been trying to cut down on the junk food and focusing more on food to fuel my body instead of what my mind wants (e.g. chocolate and other unnecessary junk). So here's to summer, Can't hardly wait! Recipe can be found here weebly Who doesn't like smoothies?! It's like the lazy person's go to breakfast, well for me it is! Plus you can get all the goodness of 2 fruits, coconut butter and Almond milk all in one go! I made this on the weekend and it was de-li-ci-ou-s! I call it the Banana Mango Coconut Colada :D For recipe click here: weebly Arrived in Melbourne at 9.30am. Checked in by 10am and now for some breakfast. Closest thing to the Stamford Plaza was famish'd. I spotted a board out the front of the cafe that said "NY Bagels" sold! Ending up getting the "I need bacon and eggs" as per picture below, twas delicious and nutritious considering the big day we had ahead of us, i needed all the energy i could get! Great start to our first meal in Melbourne. Famish'd 130 Little Collins St, Melbourne Since it was a beautiful day we decided to go to Balmoral Beach on the North Shore to have breakfast and soak up some sunshine. The waitress was very friendly and recommended the pancakes which Ben got and I settled for the Eggs Benedict with salmon. The pancakes were soft, sweet and scrumptious! Overall the Eggs were creamy and tasty, however, I wish I had ordered the pancakes. There is always tomorrow. Considering the view below is less than a minute walk from the cafe! www.larepubblica.com.au |
