E-SUSHI!
Located off the busy Military rd in Neutral Bay. This Japanese restaurant is part of the samurai group. They use a touch screen pad for the inside tables and a normal menu for the outdoor tables. To start we got a few specials including the pork belly bao and the deep fried sole fish, then onto some grilled salmon and by this stage our bellies were getting full! So we opted to get 2 small desserts which was the banana split and the green tea cake roll. Overall, good food with lots of flavour. If you visit do try and get a seat inside because its pretty fun to order off the menu. Shinya who is the host and his staff are friendly and happy to help you choose items off the menu if you are stuck.

Have heard good things about the burgers here! Arrived around 9pm and was told kitchen was closed! Noooooo!
The lovely bartender took pity on us and said if we ordered right then and there it should be ok! Of course we picked the most delicious thing on the menu! Blame Canada is 200g of wagyu patty, American cheddar cheese, maple glazed streaky bacon, poutine and maple aioli!! Holy Fricken Moly!! This shiz is one of the best burgers I've ever had! (Insert joke ) The beef was so juicy, the cheese gooey and that sauce! Hot dam I was in burger heaven! Soo savoury with a hint of sweet! This burger is at the top my list! (Prob better than Mary's! Gasp.) Blame Canada and Bar Luca you have top shelf on my food mantlepiece! This is a must visit if you consider yourself a burger connoisseur JAPANESE TAPAS STYLE - HAI!
This is one of those places that you go past and always think its pretty cool but never get the chance to stop by because your're always in a hurry to get somewhere. Love the decor with the Japanese signs and wood panels, it makes you feel like your're in Japan! Got an invitation from Yuri of Washouku lovers to try this cool venue under the guidance of Chef Takuma. This place is known for their tapas style menu dish items to share among friends and with sake of course! We sat at the bar so we could see a bit of the action in the kitchen plus you get to order off their electronic menu which is pretty neat. They have a huge selection of cocktails, mocktails, beers and sake! There is a lady with a sake cart (yes sake) who comes around to offer you a taste of the various sakes they. This is the best way to trial them out so you know what you like and don't like. All the dishes we had Tuna nigiri, pork belly with teriyaki sauce, mentai chicken with teriyaki sauce, seaweed salad, pork & kimchi fried rice and the deep fried prawn roll! Everything was quite fresh and delectable! Staff are pleasant and very happy to help you decide on which dishes are the go to for the mood you're in. Will indeed be back here as its a great spot for dinner if you are in the area to watch a movie or if you're going out later for drinks. If not then this is a good place for a date ;) |
