Went to visit my sister and family in Auckland over the weekend and this is one of the places i visited. The Wintergardens has beautiful architecture and the flowers and plants are alluring to look at! Day was windy and overcast but inside it was magical! Taken from the NZ Gardens Trust Website: " The Winter Garden at the Auckland Domain is a treasure of great historic interest. It was designed in the early 1900s in the style of the famous English partnership of Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jeckyll and opened in 1913". The Tropical area is hot as you would expect. In addition, this place is very popular with wedding photographers as you tend to see them every time you visit. Once you have finished viewing the gardens you can make your way to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Great way to entertain tourists and the kids on the weekend.
