Took a friend for the first time to High Tea and she loved it! I figured the best place to start would be to trial The Tea Room at the Queen Victoria Building in the city. We were booked in for 11am for a 1.5 hour seating, although i highly doubt we would use that whole time! I cant remember the names of most of the items but made sure to take a lot of pictures so you can feast your eyes on the deliciousness that is High Tea :) . The wait staff was impeccable and pleasant. We were done and dusted within the hour and desperately needed to walk off the many treats we just consumed. Overall I love High Tea and always have a wonderful time sipping tea and eating the mini treats, I mean if you didn't then this is something that you must get yourself into! With the year coming to an end i think you all deserve to spoil yourself ;). Address and contact details can be found here: weebly

A bit of a delayed post as i went on the 2nd of December for Birthday Dinner for 6 people. We started off with the dips of Capsicum humus with pastirma, Pistachio chili smoked babaganush and the Walnut, capsicum muhammara all came with freshly baked bread as per pictures. All the dips were delectable with the soft fresh bread. For mains we got share plates which consisted of: Zucchini, feta and walnut gozleme, Bosphorus fried mussels with white tamara, White hot chicken wings with mint yoghurt and Sautéed scotch fillet, capsicum, tomato, chilli, flat pide. Everything was superb! Quite filling for 6 people. The restaurant also had their own home made chilli pickles which was hot but not boiling to the point you needed milk ;P. Overall a great experience as it was my first time visiting, yet will not be my last :). Address can be found here: weebly Until the next adventure. Ciao! Last day of November and it was the day we finally got to meet Kevin Bacon, Bradley and all the other animals that are residents at the The Grounds. Weather was overcast and sprinkling to start but that did not deter us. Arrived about 8.40 am and parking was scarce but eventually found a spot. Since having a foot injury i rarely like to walk far even though i should be grateful! Anywho the place was packed when we got there, so we had to get a buzzer and wait 30 minutes, which was ample time for my niece to visit Kevin bacon and his friends. It's quite a large area with different carts placed all over the grounds. There's the lemonade stand, the fresh fruit cart, pastry cart and a kids play area. By the time out buzzer beeped we were both starving! To start i got the Super green juice which no amount of convincing would make my niece try it! We got the breakfast platter to share which consisted of 2 poached eggs, 2 x toast, smoked ham, diced tomatoes, feta with pesto and avocado. Clean eating to the max! Finished off with hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Overall it was well worth the wait, sadly i did not get to visit Salt meets Cheese. Alas gives me an excuse to visit again soon! Here's to breaking Sydney's cafes, restaurants and places to interest one weekend at a time! Address can be found here: weebly |
