Self Serve Japanese - Say Whaaaaat?!
Have walked past this centre many times but didn't realise there was a ramen place right near the cinemas! This is a great spot to get some quick din dins before the movies! Got an invite to try some good ole Ramen by Yuri from Washouku Lovers. What is this you say? Washouku Lovers is a benefits card that is free just by signing up - Go get yourself one, i mean who doesn't love freebies!). By showing our card we got a free drink of apple cider (non-alcoholic of course). For food we got the Curry & Beef with Sobu noodles and my partner got the Tonkotsu delux with udon. You need to walk around the left of the shop front to order near the drinks station, they will either give you your ramen there or at the end of the line, grab yourself a tray and pick any hot toppings you like - options include gyoza, tempura items and then walk on down to the cold section of the self serve to get your kimchi, seawood salad, sweets etc then once all done pay at the register. Go sit and enjoy your meal. To be honest i have never been to a self serve ramen restaurant before and it was interesting. I like how you can choose what you want but then this could also be a bad thing as you may end up with many side dishes that don't get eaten. Overall, good first visit and yes i will be back, the prices are pretty cheap! A big thank you to Yuri for inviting me to try it out :)
