The Vic is located on the corner of Addison & Enmore Rd, Marrickville. From the outside its looks like an old school pub and it is. The front area is where the main locals chill. However, towards the kitchen and outdoor courtyard it is filled with a younger crowd. A dog friendly pub that even has a basketball court!
Stopped by for dinner with a few foodie friends to sample their weekly specials menu. To start we got the share board of warm olives with house pickled veg, manchengo and roasted garlic with Parmesan brushed baguette. Loved everything on this platter and its a decent serving. For mains we ordered the Potato gnocchi Pork Ragu, the crispy chicken and prosciutto salad, the crumbed fish burger and The Vic Pie with roast chicken and veg. Who would of thought you would get a great pasta dish from the pub! I like how Chef Kirsten has taken a hold of the rains and introduced some interesting yet flavoursome items to the menu. For dessert we got the chocolate brownie and the berry & almond tart! Wow! The brownie was insane, so full and rick of chocolate yet not too overwhelming! I got to sample all the dishes and my favourites were The Vic pie, crispy chicken salad and the brownie. I hear they change their specials every week, pending how popular they are they become a staple on the menu. I do hope my favourites stay as i would love to come back again and indulge in that amazing chocolate brownie.
