When you in the town hall area around 6 ish and feel a bit peckish for dinner. Do not hesitate to walk to Chefs Gallery on Bathurst St just down from the KFC. Generally if you have the foresight you can book ahead online but alas you can always leave you name with the hostess on the door and wait probably around 5-10 min sometimes its longer and sometimes your're in luck! As soon as we arrived there were at least 12 people waiting outside so we asked for a table for 2 and the hostess asked if we didnt mind bench seats....um of course not! Zing! Instant table and we faced the kitchen so we could see the guy making fresh noodles! Awesome We ordered the Roti Peking Duck, BBQ Fried Noodles and chilli chicken (which we secretly thing should be called KUNG POW Chicken - Its not hot or spicy its just an awesome name!) Everything as usual was mouth-watering! Teamed up with some iced lemon tea! Delish! Waiters are friendly and efficient, Food is quite fast too! Address details can be found here: weebly

Dinner catch up with my nephew who is taller than me...go figure!
As always when i feel like vegetables and stir-fry's we always seem to end up here. The food is always tasty and quick, waiters friendly and efficient! And great prices too. We started with some Satay Chicken Skewers (hmmm peanut sauce :D) and Curry Puffs. Then for mains we decided to share between 3 adults and 1 child. So got the Chicken green curry, Beef Pad Thai and Vegetables & Tofu Cashew nut stir fry. As usual they were all delightful! A successful catchup with family and food always goes hand in hand. Address details can be found here: weebly Took a friend for the first time to High Tea and she loved it! I figured the best place to start would be to trial The Tea Room at the Queen Victoria Building in the city. We were booked in for 11am for a 1.5 hour seating, although i highly doubt we would use that whole time! I cant remember the names of most of the items but made sure to take a lot of pictures so you can feast your eyes on the deliciousness that is High Tea :) . The wait staff was impeccable and pleasant. We were done and dusted within the hour and desperately needed to walk off the many treats we just consumed. Overall I love High Tea and always have a wonderful time sipping tea and eating the mini treats, I mean if you didn't then this is something that you must get yourself into! With the year coming to an end i think you all deserve to spoil yourself ;). Address and contact details can be found here: weebly Last day of November and it was the day we finally got to meet Kevin Bacon, Bradley and all the other animals that are residents at the The Grounds. Weather was overcast and sprinkling to start but that did not deter us. Arrived about 8.40 am and parking was scarce but eventually found a spot. Since having a foot injury i rarely like to walk far even though i should be grateful! Anywho the place was packed when we got there, so we had to get a buzzer and wait 30 minutes, which was ample time for my niece to visit Kevin bacon and his friends. It's quite a large area with different carts placed all over the grounds. There's the lemonade stand, the fresh fruit cart, pastry cart and a kids play area. By the time out buzzer beeped we were both starving! To start i got the Super green juice which no amount of convincing would make my niece try it! We got the breakfast platter to share which consisted of 2 poached eggs, 2 x toast, smoked ham, diced tomatoes, feta with pesto and avocado. Clean eating to the max! Finished off with hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Overall it was well worth the wait, sadly i did not get to visit Salt meets Cheese. Alas gives me an excuse to visit again soon! Here's to breaking Sydney's cafes, restaurants and places to interest one weekend at a time! Address can be found here: weebly Dumplings, Dumplings and more Dumplings! This place is always busy! So you will expect to wait about 20 minutes plus, although sometimes you get lucky and only have to wait 10! :) Situated in the food court in the Chatswood Chase Shopping centre, this restaurant is decked out in with an oriental theme with artwork all over the walls! The menu is also used as your place-mat! Dim sum, Soup, Cold dish, Vegetable, Rice and Noodles are just some of the main areas on the menu you can order from. We generally tend to order the usual which consists of: - Pan fried pork dumpling (8 pieces) - Dried shrimp & shallots stirred with dry noodle in soy sauce - Beef dumpling (8 pieces) That's generally for 2 people and tends to fill us up! We rarely venture away from what we like but I shall be going again this coming Thursday and I promise to order something new from the menu! scouts honour! Until next time!
